In the dark, everything becomes another unrecognizable silhouette. The meaning of coming in the light then means to take action, to speak, to make on visible. The Darkness represents inaction and being a bystander. There's also the quote that the "You" tries to keep "me" from the light, "You" is the system and it is preventing the individual, in the case. The light is some kind of goal that the individual wants to achieve.
